Virtual Hands-On Training

 Fiber Optic Termination

Epoxy/Polish, Hot Melt and Anaerobic Adhesive Connectors

What is a "virtual hands-on" course? We duplicate a hands-on training program by showing you how it's done in detail, step by step. This course is on termination of fiber optic cable with epoxy/polish connectors and quick curing anaerobic adhesives.

When we teach termination, we do it step-by-step, having analyzed the process carefully and broken it into a number of small steps. By following these steps, we have been able to achieve almost 100% yield in our training and losses typically less than 0.3 dB. So this virtual hands-on course shows you those step by step procedures and gives you precise instructions on how to do it yourself.

Before you get started, we recommend you read the Termination tutorial, our online introduction to fiber optics.

Each page in sequence will show you the process. You can go back and forward by using the list on the left hand column or the Next-Back links.

If you want to really do it yourself, you can get yourself all the tools, test equipment and consumables we use here and follow along in "reality."
