VDV Works Presents Lennie Lightwave's Guide to Fiber Optics

Lennie has been involved in fiber optics since he first went to "Fiber U" - Fotec's fiber optic installer conference in 1993. Lennie is now working with "VDV Works," a company that provided consulting and training on fiber optics, structured cabling, computer networking and telecommunications.
This guide is the outcome of more than 30 years of experience in fiber optics from Lennie and the VDV Works staff.
It's easy to learn more about fiber optics! All you have to do is keep reading......
Also see our "virtual hands-on" tutorial on fiber optic termination , "virtual hands-on" tutorial on fiber optic testingtutorial  on OTDRs , and "virtual hands-on" tutorial on using OTDRs.

When you are finished with Lennie's Guide, you might want to get a copy of our textbooks, The FOA Reference Guide to Fiber OpticsThe FOA Reference Guide to Outside Plant Fiber Optics, FOA Reference Guide to Premises Cabling, Data Voice and Video Cabling and The Fiber Optic Technicians Manual.

What Do People Say About "Lennie"?

"I am a 30 year veteran of the "Bell System" with many years of experience with design of OSP Systems and also had 15 years as a product Rep. for AT&T/Lucent with responsibility of representing their fiber cable and apparatus products in the Northwest. In all those years I have not seen a better guide that takes the basics of fiber optics and puts it into an easily understandable format ..... that includes the "famous Bell Labs" fiber guru's." DS
